Sugar Industry & Cane Development, Uttar Pradesh, for the development of sugarcane farmers in the state, launched an ERP system in association with Amity Software Systems Limited whose contract was signed on 2 January 2020.
The Sugar Industry & Cane Development Department of the Government of Uttar Pradesh launched ERP software for automating the sugar parchi distribution system, farmer investment, loan distribution, and other related documentation, in association with Amity Software Systems Limited. A contract between the two parties was signed in Lucknow on 2 January 2020.
The contract was signed by Amity Software’s Managing Director Mr A.K. Saxena and Sugar Industry & Cane Development Department’s Managing Director Mr R.P. Yadav. Other officials of the department including Sugar Industry & Cane Development Minister, Mr Suresh Rana and Principal Secretary to Excise and Sugar Industry & Cane Development Department of Uttar Pradesh, Mr Sanjay Bhoosreddy were also present during the contract signing.
“The ERP system will allow the sugar societies to create a centralised and automated computerised system for the generation and distribution of the sugarcane parchi. This will curb the fraudulent activities and create a transparent system for the sugarcane farmers across the state,” says Mr A.K. Saxena, Managing Director, Amity Software. He further adds, “It also has a finance module which will create an automated and monitored system for the farmer loan management as well as documentation of the loans and other processes.”
The ERP system will fill the missing synchronisation of the sugar societies in the state. The independent working of the sugar societies was integrated with a centralised system through the ERP software where they can upload their day-to-day activity logs, reports, and sugarcane details.
