Anil graduated in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi where he earned his B.Tech degree.
He started his career in software with DCM Data Products in their systems department, with the dawn of the technology in India.
He started one of the first software businesses in the country early in 1984 and then in 1986 laid the foundation of Amity Software, which has many reputable innovations to its credit in the software industry. He is an expert in software related to business applications, cross-platform interfacing & development of new technology.
Bharti, Director on the Board as well as Member of Amity’s Advisory Board, is also an Independent Director on the Board of Ridings Consulting Engineers India, Advisor at TTGA Private Limited, as well as a professional member of AGI. Formerly Executive Director with Association of Geospatial Industries (AGI), Bharti has nearly 35 years of experience in industry. She started with the prestigious DCM Group, going on to head the BFSI vertical in DCM Data Products.
Bharti has held strategic leadership roles handling P&L responsibility, Marketing, Sales and Product Management functions as well as policy and technology evangelism at Satyam BPO, CYIENT, Mastek and Emploi Globale Consulting. Bharti has also worked on the Defense & Offset Policy for IT/ITES and has chaired SIATIs Empowered Committee for Offsets. She was also part of CIIs National Defense Subcommittee for IT & Telecom.
An excellent communicator, she has been a speaker as well as organizer of several national and international events organized by industry bodies such as AGI, NASSCOM, CRM Foundation and CII.
She has organized major India Business Summits at Geneva and Rotterdam, inaugurated by the Indian Ambassadors and drawing participation from across the globe, as well as national roundtables and conferences to deliberate and formulate policies and technology frameworks for national programs such as National GIS, DI-LRMP, Smart Cities, IWMP and Neeranchal among others.
Her experience spans Pan-India and global, and across industries - IT, ITES, BPO and KPO, technologies and domains. She has travelled widely both in India as well as to countries across Asia, Australia, Europe and North America.
Schooled at The Lawrence School Sanawar and Cambridge School, Bharti has a Bachelors degree (Honours) and a Master’s degree in Arts in English Literature from Lady Shriram College for Women, University of Delhi.
Bharti is passionate about reading, writing, photography, wildlife and nature, travel and music, both vocal and sitar.
Mr Jyoti Narain is an accomplished competent professional with over 36 years of experience spanning across media and communications, strategic business planning, operations management, network marketing, manufacturing, technologies, product development, training and development, real estate, and retail.
He is a thinker, visionary, and astute professional with a legal and management background. Over his career, he has been on board of multiple companies and has played a pivoting role in establishing companies in tourism, news networks, publishing, networking, manufacturing, technologies, retail, and real estate from scratch.
Other than this, Mr Narain is also a positive motivator for a network of fifty lakh people spread over all the states in India.
Rajeev Lal, Member of Amity’s Advisory Board, has rich experience of heading global operations of Engineering Services and Information Technology organizations in India as well as Middle East.
In a career spanning over four decades, he has served as Director on the board of Infotech-HAL Limited (JV between Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd. and Infotech Enterprises Ltd.), and CEO of Infotech Enterprises IT Services (P) Ltd. He has held senior leadership positions as Chairman of Infotech’s US subsidiary, MD of a software startup, Head of Boodai Computer Services (Kuwait) and GM (IT) - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd., among others.
He has led strategic initiatives both within the organizations as well as in leading industry bodies such as Institution of Engineers (India). He was Chairman of CSI’s Lucknow Chapter and Chairman, Publicity Committee, CSI 93. He was a member of American Management Association, International Association of Outsourcing Professionals and the ICT committee of CII A.P.
He was included in ‘Marquis’ Who’s Who in the World - 1998’ and is a regular invitee as guest faculty in technical and management institutes such as Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad; Institute of Management Development, Lucknow; Administrative Training Academy, Nainital; Institution of Engineers, Kuwait and U.P. State Chapters.
Rajeev Lal is also Director on the Board of Belcan India Pvt. Ltd. and a Director of Engineers without Borders – India.
A Bachelor of Engineering from the prestigious Delhi College of Engineering, Rajeev has varied interests like golfing, travelling, reading and writing, and has published his first book “A Star is Born”. He also mentors young entrepreneurs.
Shalini Sethi is a Member of Amity’s Advisory Board and Founder & Chairperson of Sethi Foundation, anon-profit entity focused on health tech and education for the urban under-privileged in India.
In the health tech arena, she runs the First Sound initiative, a technology-enabled program to help hearing impaired children get their hearing back. First Sound is an innovative program initiated by Sethi Foundation under which hearing aids and Cochlear implants have been provided to children suffering from hearing impairment. This initiative has helped beneficiaries regain confidence and independence and look forward to a better quality of life.
In the education arena, Sethi Foundation is focused on providing affordable and quality education. This initiative has successfully helped beneficiary schools in Bangalore become aspirational schools for under-privileged children.
Shalini is a serial entrepreneur having built successful companies in the recruitment space including India’s first IT-focused recruitment company Career Profiles, the first recruitment portal Job Curry (acquired by iGate), and first global executive search firm from India, Emploi Globale Consulting Pvt. Ltd.,a start up in the Strategic Recruitment, Consulting and RPO business which was angel-funded, among others by Dr. Jagdish Sheth of Emory.
Shalini has over 20 years of experience in business development and operations in industry and academics. Starting her career at Network Ltd. (an HCL group company), she has also held positions as COO of ASML and Director at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
An MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Shalini is an alumnus of Lady Shriram College for Women, University of Delhi, from where she has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics.
Her interests include travel, wildlife safaris, social initiatives and mentoring CEOs of startups. She has also co-published books on wildlife.
Vivek Punekar, Member of Amity’s Advisory Board, is a seasoned business leader with diverse industry experience in IT, Education, Distribution and HR Services. He is currently pursuing his passion in the areas of business & leadership transformation, especially in a Startup-Scale Up ecosystem.
Vivek has been responsible for formulating and driving innovative processes, designed for scale and has served at C-Level positions – as Chief Operating Officer in AuthBridge Research Services, India’s leading Screening
Services and Risk Management Company, and earlier as Chief HR Officer at HCL Infosystems. He has been responsible for several path-breaking initiatives such as EPAT [Empowered People Action Team], including Women Empowered PAT to build HCL as the Employer of Choice. Under his leadership, HCL won the “Best Employer” awards for 9 consecutive years. He is currently mentoring start-ups and social entrepreneurs.
His interests include training and mentoring young professionals.
A B.Tech from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur and MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Rajat specializes in SAP and I.T. Marketing.
His experience at key positions in large corporate houses across diverse portfolios has helped him hone his business acumen and unique perspectives. This has enabled him to understand and analyze business requirements, leveraging his experience, to develop and reengineer business processes and architect value propositions most appropriate to deliver value to customers. He is forward-looking and guided the first SAP installation in India in 1997, emerging today as one of the most experienced and knowledgeable experts on SAP implementation in large enterprises.
Rajat’s interests are in travel and photography, and he also dabbles in music (both Hindi and Bengali). Rajat is both a singer and Tabla player. He is a family man and enjoys spending time with his wife, two daughters and son.
Pankaj is a B.E. (Graduate in Engineering) from Priyadarshini Engg. College, Nagpur University. He has been associated with Amity for the past 10 years. He has vast experience of system design and development across platforms.
His areas of expertise include Sugarcane Management, ERP, Banking, interfacing with RS-232 communication software and other applications for Sugar industry. He has been involved in managing business operations for Amity in India.
Pankaj is a keen traveler and photographer. He reads a lot on new technologies and emerging trends. He is a devoted family man and loves spending time with his wife and two sons, and makes it a point to watch movies regularly together.
Mr Hamza Saleem holds an intensive and rich experience in management of projects related to SAP ERP implementation and data centres. His experience is spread across a wide spectrum of over two and a half decades which covers SAP ERP implementation, program management, information systems, and business strategic planning. Mr Saleem has also led a number of SAP ERP implementation projects on a global scale.
Mr Saleem is a leading CIO and a well-known name when it comes to ERP systems and their implementations. His implementation and projects are often used as reference by the EC&O (Oil & Gas), manufacturing, and trading Industry.
He has led several international and domestic SAP ERP implementation projects, SAP application implementation review, IT Audits, IT due diligence, SAP implementation advisory reviews, business continuity, and disaster recovery plans.
Mr Saleem has also served as the President of the Lotus Users Group. Holding a MBA degree from the National Institute of Management with dual specialisation in IT and SAP Project Management, he is a pioneer of the Indian end-user movement.
Mr Rajesh Kumar is the Head of Projects at Amity Software Systems Limited and has been associated with the organisation for over 11 years. He has more than 15 years of experience in software design and development. Across his professional career, Mr Kumar has successfully designed, developed, and delivered several notable and complex software projects domestically and internationally. He has vast experience in understanding customer needs, computerisation, and automation of various business operations across various line of businesses with the help of latest technology of application development, including mobility.
He has successfully integrated a number of Amity products with SAP along with other interfaces with hardware through serial communication and holds expertise in business processes for Agriculture – Sugar, Tea, Coffee, Horticulture, Cement, General Insurance, Life Insurance, and Health Insurance.
He holds Master of Computer Application along with other professional certificates. Mr Rajesh has successfully completed advance diploma from Microsoft, Oracle, SAP, DOEACC, and NIIT.
