Shalini Sethi

Shalini Sethi is a Member of Amity’s Advisory Board and Founder & Chairperson of Sethi Foundation, anon-profit entity focused on health tech and education for the urban under-privileged in India.

In the health tech arena, she runs the First Sound initiative, a technology-enabled program to help hearing impaired children get their hearing back. First Sound is an innovative program initiated by Sethi Foundation under which hearing aids and Cochlear implants have been provided to children suffering from hearing impairment. This initiative has helped beneficiaries regain confidence and independence and look forward to a better quality of life.

In the education arena, Sethi Foundation is focused on providing affordable and quality education. This initiative has successfully helped beneficiary schools in Bangalore become aspirational schools for under-privileged children.

Shalini is a serial entrepreneur having built successful companies in the recruitment space including India’s first IT-focused recruitment company Career Profiles,

he first recruitment portal Job Curry (acquired by iGate), and first global executive search firm from India, Emploi Globale Consulting Pvt. Ltd.,a start up in the Strategic Recruitment, Consulting and RPO business which was angel-funded, among others by Dr. Jagdish Sheth of Emory.

Shalini has over 20 years of experience in business development and operations in industry and academics. Starting her career at Network Ltd. (an HCL group company), she has also held positions as COO of ASML and Director at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.

An MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi, Shalini is an alumnus of Lady Shriram College for Women, University of Delhi, from where she has a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in Economics.

Her interests include travel, wildlife safaris, social initiatives and mentoring CEOs of startups. She has also co-published books on wildlife.
